Dix-huit participants ont re\u00e7u une formation approfondie sur iPad, ainsi que sur ses applications logicielles. Ce groupe iPad\u00a0 a \u00e9t\u00e9 compar\u00e9 \u00e0 deux autres groupes\u00a0: un groupe placebo qui se livrait \u00e0 des t\u00e2ches passives n\u00e9cessitant peu de nouvelles connaissances, et un groupe dit social, qui avait des interactions sociales r\u00e9guli\u00e8res, mais pas l’acquisition de comp\u00e9tences actives. Le programme d\u2019entra\u00eenement durait 14 semaines et ses effets \u00e9taient mesur\u00e9s imm\u00e9diatement au terme de la derni\u00e8re s\u00e9ance et 5 mois plus tard. Les r\u00e9sultats de l\u2019\u00e9tude montrent un effet positif de l\u2019entra\u00eenement sur des mesures de m\u00e9moire \u00e9pisodique et sur des mesures de m\u00e9moire de travail. De plus, l\u2019effet positif est maintenu lors du suivi 5 mois plus tard. G\u00fcnter et al. Les participants b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaient pendant 5 \u00e0 6 semaines d\u2019un entra\u00eenement cognitif portant sur la m\u00e9moire \u00e9pisodique, le raisonnement inductif ou l\u2019attention visuelle. Le type d\u2019entra\u00eenement re\u00e7u \u00e9tait d\u00e9termin\u00e9 al\u00e9atoirement. Les r\u00e9sultats de l\u2019\u00e9tude indiquent que chacun des trois types d\u2019entra\u00eenement est associ\u00e9 \u00e0 une am\u00e9lioration des performances sur les tests mesurant la fonction entra\u00een\u00e9e, mais pas sur les tests mesurant les fonctions non entrain\u00e9es (Ball et al, 2002). Les auteurs rapportent que l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des performances correspond \u00e0 une r\u00e9duction de 7 \u00e0 14 ans des effets du vieillissement, et une bien meilleure autonomie dans les t\u00e2ches de la vie quotidienne. Le suivi \u00e0 long terme indique donc que ce type d\u2019intervention cognitive peut r\u00e9duire le d\u00e9clin cognitif associ\u00e9 au vieillissement et retarder le d\u00e9clin d\u2019entra\u00eenement c\u00e9r\u00e9bral, une am\u00e9lioration sensible des fonctions cognitives<\/a>, par rapport au groupe t\u00e9moin, notamment au niveau de la concentration et de la m\u00e9moire.<\/span><\/p>\n La comparaison de l’ensemble des param\u00e8tres du sommeil et des fonctions cognitives<\/a> entre le groupe-t\u00e9moin et le groupe de participants a par ailleurs confirm\u00e9 que l’entra\u00eenement c\u00e9r\u00e9bral r\u00e9gulier \u00e9tait bien \u00e0 l’origine d’une am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9 du sommeil qui s’est traduite \u00e0 la fois par une augmentation de la dur\u00e9e totale du temps de sommeil et par une r\u00e9duction des r\u00e9veils nocturnes.<\/span><\/p>\n Selon cette \u00e9tude, l\u2019entra\u00eenement c\u00e9r\u00e9bral
