Il programma di allenamento durava 14 settimane e i suoi effetti erano misurati immediatamente al termine dell’ultima sessione e 5 mesi dopo. I risultati dello studio mostrano un effetto positivo dell’allenamento su misure di memoria episodica e su misure di memoria di lavoro. I partecipanti beneficiavano per 5 o 6 settimane di un allenamento cognitivo sulla memoria episodica, il ragionamento induttivo o l’attenzione visiva. Il tipo di allenamento ricevuto era determinato casualmente. I risultati dello studio indicano che ciascuno dei tre tipi di allenamento \u00e8 associato a un miglioramento delle prestazioni nei test che misurano la funzione allenata, ma non sui test che misurano le funzioni non allenate (Ball et al, 2002). Gli autori riportano che il miglioramento delle prestazioni corrisponde a una riduzione da 7 a 14 anni degli effetti dell’invecchiamento e una molto migliore autonomia nei compiti della vita quotidiana. Il follow-up a lungo termine indica quindi che questo tipo di intervento cognitivo pu\u00f2 ridurre il declino cognitivo associato all’invecchiamento e ritardare il declino funzionale.<\/span><\/p>\n soggetti anziani affetti da insonnia cronica ha mostrato che un allenamento cerebrale regolare di due mesi potrebbe migliorare sensibilmente la qualit\u00e0 del sonno di queste persone.<\/span><\/p>\n Infatti, questi lavori hanno mostrato, nel gruppo che ha seguito il programma di allenamento cerebrale, un miglioramento sensibile delle funzioni cognitive<\/a>, rispetto al gruppo di controllo, in particolare a livello di concentrazione e memoria.<\/span><\/p>\n Il confronto di tutti i parametri del sonno e delle funzioni cognitive<\/a> tra il gruppo di controllo e il gruppo di partecipanti ha inoltre confermato che l’allenamento cerebrale regolare era effettivamente all’origine di un miglioramento della qualit\u00e0 del sonno che si \u00e8 tradotto sia in un aumento della durata totale del sonno che in una riduzione dei risvegli notturni.<\/span><\/p>\n Secondo questo studio, l’allenamento cerebrale potrebbe migliorare il sonno riducendo gli effetti neurobiologici dell’invecchiamento,
