Online training for families
👨👩👧 Target audience Parents, grandparents, family caregivers, and relatives of autistic children or adults who wish to better understand difficult behaviors and acquire concrete strategies to prevent and manage them in daily life.
⏱️ Duration 2 to 3 hours of training divided into 5 progressive modules
💻 Format 100% online training, accessible from your computer or tablet. You progress at your own pace, whenever you wish, without time constraints.
What you will learn
This training allows you to understand why your child exhibits difficult behaviors and how to respond appropriately. You will learn to identify warning signs before a crisis erupts, to arrange your environment to reduce tensions, and to intervene effectively when the situation escalates.
Through concrete explanations and immediately applicable strategies, you will discover how to transform your daily life to better support your child while maintaining your own balance.
By the end of this training, you will be able to:
- Understand the three main differences in autism (communication, sensory processing, anxiety) and their impact on behavior
- Identify the 5 reasons for difficult behaviors: sensory overload, misunderstanding, frustration, changes in routine, transitions
- Use the two questions tool (“What is causing this?” and “What do we want to achieve?”) to analyze and adapt your response
- Recognize warning signs (behavioral, vocal, physical) before a crisis explodes
- Arrange your home: create a calm corner, reduce stimuli, structure the environment
- Implement a visual schedule and ritualize key moments of the day
- Prepare for transitions using the three announcements technique, visual timer, and transitional objects
- Use effective visual tools: communication cards, “first/then” board, emotion thermometer
- Adopt the right posture during a crisis: remain calm, speak softly, secure the environment
- Help your child calm down with the calm corner, sensory objects, deep pressure, and breathing techniques
- Manage the post-crisis period: comfort, gradually re-engage, understand what happened
- Recognize your own signs of exhaustion and know how to ask for help
- Organize respite (daily, weekly, monthly) without guilt
- Celebrate small victories and accept that it can be difficult
You will leave with concrete tools and strategies that can be applied at home starting tonight.
