Jeannette advises you… Olympia against Alzheimer’s’s

Recently, I heard about a special concert, a concert to fight against Alzheimer’s’s disease. I immediately found this initiative remarkable and I want to tell you about it.

On Monday, February 15, a concert will be held at the Olympia that brings together two generations of singers; it is the 11th event concert organized by the association for Alzheimer’s’s research.

Gala azlheimer Voulzy, souchon

Pierre Souchon, the son of Alain, is the initiator of this unprecedented concert on the theme “2 Generations Sing for the 3rd”.

Alain Delon, honorary president, and Sandrine Kimberlain, godmother of this eleventh edition, will welcome many artists who come to sing for a good cause: Brigitte, Carla Bruni, Vincent Delerm, Maxime Leforestier, Laurent Voulzy, Alain Souchon, Oldelaf, Nolwenn Leroy.

The musical show features solos, duos, and trios on the greatest hits of Laurent Voulzy and Alain Souchon. The presence of these two essential singers is, of course, highly anticipated on stage.

Thus, the goal of this concert is to raise funds, so all the funds raised will be donated to research on Alzheimer’s’s disease.

We can only hope that this 2016 edition raises more funds than the previous year (450,000 euros).

  • Improvement of mood: Joyful music can evoke positive emotions and enhance the patients’ state of mind.
  • Facilitation of communication: Music can serve as a means of communication for those who have difficulty expressing themselves verbally.

Advances in Alzheimer’s’s research

Research on Alzheimer’s’s disease has made significant progress in recent years. Here are some key areas where advances have been made:

  • Early diagnosis: Development of tests that allow for earlier detection of the disease, which can improve treatments and care.
  • Drug therapies: Development of new medications aimed at slowing the progression of the disease and improving the quality of life for patients.
