This quick test explores your sensory sensitivity: reactions to noises, lights, textures, smells, and multiple stimuli. It is not a diagnosis but a tool for awareness to better understand your functioning or that of a loved one.

1. How do you react to everyday noises?

Examples: multiple conversations, vacuum cleaner, traffic, loud music.

It bothers me little, I can easily ignore them. It can tire me over time, but I adapt. It quickly overwhelms me, I often seek to escape or protect myself (earplugs, isolation).

2. How do you experience bright or artificial lights?

Neon lights, screens, very bright sunlight, car headlights at night.

I am not particularly bothered, even in bright light. I prefer softer lights, but I adapt. Bright lights tire me quickly, I squint or get headaches.

3. How do you feel about certain textures or clothing?

Tags, rough fabrics, misaligned socks, seams, tight collars…

I notice these details little, it doesn't really bother me. Some clothes bother me a bit, but I deal with it. I quickly feel uncomfortable, I often change clothes or remove what bothers me.

4. How do you react to smells (positive or unpleasant)?

Cooking, perfumes, cleaning products, transport smells, public places…

I am not very sensitive to smells, it has to be very strong for me to react. Some smells bother me, but it's manageable. I am quickly disturbed, even by light or "normal" smells for others.

5. In a highly stimulating environment (shopping mall, party, cafeteria)…

Noises, lights, movements, conversations, smells all at once.

I cope quite well, even if I can be tired afterwards. It's tiring, I need quiet breaks afterwards. It's very difficult: I quickly feel overwhelmed or on edge.
