About Course

This 6 to 7-hour training is aimed at professionals working in medical-social establishments or at home (care assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, activity leaders, support workers). Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is an acquired brain injury that affects tens of thousands of people in France each year — often young individuals, victims of road accidents, falls, or sports injuries. Unlike neurodegenerative diseases, the person with a brain injury can recover significantly — but the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional sequelae are often invisible, poorly understood, and a source of conflict with family and professionals. This training provides professionals with a solid understanding of the mechanisms of TBI, its specific sequelae, and the support strategies adapted to this particular population. At the end of the training, each participant will be able to adjust their practice with relevance, coherence, and appropriate professional distance.
