When you learn something new, you prefer…
What is the purpose of a learning style test?
We do not all learn in the same way. Some retain better by seeing images, others by listening to an explanation, taking notes, or manipulating physically. Identifying your dominant learning style can help you organize better and make your revisions more effective.
The main learning styles explored
Visual
You learn more easily with diagrams, charts, colors, videos, mind maps.
Auditory
You retain better by listening: oral courses, explanations read aloud, podcasts, discussions.
Reading / Writing
You enjoy reading, summarizing, making notes, rewriting information to integrate it.
Kinesthetic
You learn by doing: hands-on activities, role-playing, concrete experiences, movement.
How to use the results?
Your learning style is not a fixed label. It simply indicates your natural preferences. You can:
• adapt your working methods (more diagrams if you are visual, more oral explanations if you are auditory, etc.);
• combine several styles to enhance memorization;
• help a child, adult, or senior find the most comfortable way for them to learn.
And after the test?
This test does not replace a complete educational assessment, but it serves as a starting point to reflect on your way of learning. The COCO, JOE, and EDITH programs offer a variety of activities (visual, auditory, playful) to stimulate the brain according to different profiles.
