Dyspraxia / DCD Test
by DYNSEO
A parental self-questionnaire about signs suggesting a Developmental Coordination Disorder. Designed with the help of healthcare professionals.
This test was designed with the help of professionals to assist parents in recognising signs suggesting dyspraxia, also known as Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) — a neurodevelopmental disorder affecting 5 to 6% of children that impacts the acquisition and execution of coordinated movements. It is inspired by DSM-5 criteria and validated questionnaires such as the DCDQ.
- 6 questions on gross motor skills (sport, cycling, balance)
- 6 questions on fine motor skills (writing, cutting, shoelaces)
- 6 questions on daily life and autonomy (dressing, meals, organisation)
- Instant result with guidance towards appropriate resources
Answer based on your child's behaviour over the past 6 months, compared to children of the same age. Difficulties should have been present for a long time (not following a recent accident or illness). Be honest — a high score is neither "good" nor "bad", it is simply useful information to help determine whether an assessment would be relevant.
