REDISCOVERING MEMORIES AND RESTORING COMMUNICATION
E-Souvenirs is a tablet app that uses memory recall to promote cognitive stimulation and well-being among seniors and their families.
The E-Souvenirs app was developed in partnership with two speech-language pathologists, Sophie FERRIEUX and Céline ARBIZU, who specialize in adult neurology and practice at the Pitié Salpêtrière Charles Foix Hospital Group.
Its main purpose is to help people with memory disorders express themselves through shared memories from the 1930s to the present day, as well as to give them access to their personalized life timeline.
Customization
Within the app, you can create the beneficiary’s own life timeline using personal photos that can be added from the tablet or remotely.
Open-ended questions
Our speech-language pathologists have drafted these open-ended questions to encourage discussion and spark a conversation. If someone recalls a memory, you can note it using the note/caption icon.
Wellness
Reliving memorable moments from one’s life is soothing and rewarding for the recipient.
Involved Families
Families are thus reassured to know that their loved one is receiving cognitive stimulation. In addition, they can stay involved even when they are far away.
Relevant and varied content
The content is tailored to the individual’s age and interests and lists key events, organized by theme and date, from 1930 to the present.
No Wi-Fi
The app works without an internet connection. This means users can train their memory no matter where they are.

E-Souvenirs is designed to stimulate and encourage the emergence and recall of memories in a person.
Recalling and bringing memories to mind can be beneficial for our cognitive functions and promote our well-being.
E-Souvenirs helps stimulate memories using various media and reinforces positive emotions with the goal of fostering communication.

AN APP WITH SUPPORT
The benefit of the E-Souvenirs app is that it makes communication easier:
- Thanks to the ability to click “Like” or “Dislike” on each listing, and thus easily recommend users’ favorite listings to them,
- By providing open-ended questions specificto each worksheet, which the caregiver can read to encourage conversation. (Example: About the first steps on the Moon. What happened that day? Did that event inspire you to dream? Tell us about it. Should we spend so much money on space exploration?)
- By allowing youto add a caption to each card, so you can preserve the memories they evoke. (Example: Régine told me that her grandmother’s Sunday dinner was a leg of lamb, and the whole family would gather to eat it and then play belote.)

The app’s strength lies in its wide range of content. Everyone can find something that appeals to them based on their favorite topics, interests, and memories.
It’s such a joy to see people happily rediscover the Singer and Perrier commercials that shaped their childhoods!
E-SOUVENIRS ‘ SPECIAL TOUCH: THE FRISE DE VIE
You can add content directly from the tablet by taking photos of items, or from a computer—even remotely. In fact, the user’s family can add personal entries directly from a web platform (family photos, childhood memories, etc.).
The app is customized in this way, which really excites the user. On the tablet, the user finds all the photos from their childhood (their vacation home, their elementary school classroom, their wedding, their first child, etc.).
TRACKING SESSIONS
Each session is recorded, and within the app you’ll be able to find: favorite decades, favorite themes, as well as the profiles that have been viewed or liked the most per user.
You’ll also be able to view details about the sessions and the time spent on each worksheet.
