Recognizing when I'm losing control
📌 How do I use this tool?
This chart helps children recognize signals that they are beginning to lose control. The earlier you spot the signals, the easier it is to calm down! Like a traffic light: green = all's well, red = stop, I need help.

💡 Tips for speech therapists and parents
- Help children identify their own body signals
- Use this tool BEFORE difficult situations to prepare for them.
- Praise the child when he recognizes his level of alertness
- Create an action plan for each level together
- The aim is to intervene at YELLOW, not to wait for RED
