Stroke Care in Institutions: Understanding the Consequences and Adapting Professional Practice

Wishlist Share

About Course

This 6 to 7-hour training is aimed at professionals working in establishments (care assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, animators, senior residence companions, and home care workers). It allows for the acquisition of solid and operational knowledge of the sequelae of stroke — motor, cognitive, language, sensory, and emotional — and to deduce concrete adaptations in daily professional practices. This training does not address crisis situations (which are the subject of a dedicated training) but focuses on a fine understanding of the mechanisms at play and on adjusting postures, care, and team coordination. At the end of the training, each participant will be able to observe, analyze, and adapt their support according to the specific sequela profile of each resident.
