About Course
Online training of 12 hours aimed at teachers in regular classes, support staff for students with disabilities, and educational teams welcoming a student with Down syndrome, from kindergarten to high school. It is deliberately practical: less than ten percent theoretical content, the rest in detailed teaching sequences, adaptations of materials shown before and after, commented classroom scenes, and ready-to-use documents. Objectives: understand the learning profile specific to Down syndrome and what distinguishes it from learning disabilities, adapt materials without lowering expectations, conduct learning in reading, writing, and mathematics, respond to avoidance behaviors, develop autonomy rather than dependence on adults, and work with the support staff and family. Prerequisites: none. Modalities: asynchronous training, quizzes by module, downloadable documents, final assessment, and certificate.
